资源简介:

N-Hydroxy-pipecolic acid (NHP) is a plant small molecule that can activate plant systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in non-infected leaves against secondary pathogen infection. Upon pathogen infection, NHP is produced in the site infected with the pathogen and moves throughout the plant. Previous studies have shown that NHP is sufficient to up-regulate SAR-associated gene expression and SA signaling in local and systemic tissues. However, to date, how NHP-induced SAR is established and regulated in systemic tissues remains incompletely understood. In this study, we have identified the new role of the Arabidopsis DAWDLE (DDL) protein, which is required for inducing SAR. To better understand how DDL impacts the NHP-mediated signaling pathway, we performed RNA-Seq analysis to compare NHP-mediated transcriptional programming in local, treated leaves and distal, untreated leaves of Arabidopsis Col-0 and ddl-6 plants upon water or 1mM NHP treatment.
