Capybara genome sequencing. Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris

In order to determine the relationship between evolutionary rate and body size, and to investigate factors affecting mammalian evolutionary rate dynamics, the whole genome of capybara, Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris, was sequenced on Illumina Miseq platform. The draft assembly and short reads are publicly available for future analyses.
