Changes in the gut microbiota following antibiotic treatment in mice

Antibiotics are routinely used to treat bacterial infections and reduce death rates, but excessive usage can disrupt the gut microbiome. This study investigated the effects on the gut microbiota of four commonly used antibiotics: ceftazidime, imipenem-cilastatin, cefoperazone-sulbactam, and moxifloxacin.
