Test-5: Seven Elastic Model Structures on a Layered, Saturated Soil Profile.

This experiment consisted of seven elastic model structures on a layered, saturated, soil profile. The experiment was divided into four quadrants with the following layout in each quadrant: 1) NW Quadrant - Isolated Type A model structure; 2) NE Quadrant - Two adjacent Type A model structures, aligned in the direction of shaking; 3) SW Quadrant - One Type A model structure adjacent to one larger, Type J, model structure, aligned in the direction of shaking; and 4) SE Quadrant - One Type A model structure adjacent to one Type J model structure with a a pile foundation, aligned in the direction of shaking. Three centrifuge spins were performed. During Spin I three shaking events were performed (two step waves and one ground motion). During Spin II two shaking events were performed (two step waves). During Spin III six shaking events were performed (2 step waves and 4 ground motions).
