A study of the oral microbiome of the elderly 63-year-old patient with phenylketonuria compared with that of controls. The object of the study was to identify differences in the oral microbiome of the PKU patient compared to the control by NGS. The use of a special phenylalanine-free diet in PKU patients, as well as the age of the patient, have a significant effect on the biodiversity of the oral microbiome.
