Emotion-related labels for brain measures in preterm infants: A scoping review

Supplementary materials for a scoping review of how emotion-related terminology is applied to central nervous system (CNS) findings in preterm infants during neonatal intensive care. The review included ten reports from nine studies and 18 interpretive instances in which EEG or NIRS/fNIRS findings were linked to an emotion-related construct. The materials include the full search strategies for PubMed, Scopus, and CINAHL, definitions of full-text exclusion reasons, the coding and data extraction framework with its decision rules, the full extracted dataset with verbatim quotations and assigned codes, and the proposed reporting checklist for emotion-related interpretations of CNS findings.
