[Article Dataset] Combined effects of microplastics and nitrogen on bivalve-mediated biogeochemical cycling.
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the research article titled “Combined effects of microplastics and nitrogen on bivalve-mediated biogeochemical cycling.” It contains post-exposure metrics from a mesocosm experiment in which deep-dwelling bivalves (Macomona liliana) were exposed to control, microplastic, nitrogen, and multiple-stressor conditions. Measurements include ammonium and oxygen fluxes across the sediment–water interface; fatty acid profiles of bivalve tissue and surficial sediment; porewater ammonium concentrations; sediment loss on ignition; sediment porosity; and sediment chlorophyll-a concentrations. Visual indices of black sediment presence within the sediment column and visible microphytobenthos are also included. For detailed information on the methods used in sampling and analysis, please refer to the Methods section of the paper itself.
