Neglecting N2O Emissions Underestimates the Soil Greenhouse Gas Budgets of Rewetted Tropical Peatlands
收藏资源简介:
This deposit contains the manuscript and Supporting Information for “Neglecting N2O Emissions Underestimates the Soil Greenhouse Gas Budgets of Rewetted Tropical Peatlands.” The study examines soil carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions across four rewetted peatland land uses in Jambi, Indonesia: mixed agriculture, oil palm plantation, jelutung plantation, and secondary forest. Field measurements are complemented by a synthesis of 65 tropical peatland observation records spanning undrained, drained, and rewetted conditions. The manuscript presents greenhouse gas fluxes, their contributions to total soil greenhouse gas budgets, and relationships with environmental conditions. The Supporting Information provides supplementary figures, tables, and the synthesis database used in the comparative analyses. Overall, these materials highlight the importance of including N2O alongside CO2 and CH4 when assessing the climate benefits of tropical peatland rewetting.
