The effects of naphthoquinoidal compounds (NFQs) 1, 2 and 3 against FLC-resistant strains of <i>Candida</i> spp. isolated in Ceará (MIC 50% at 24 h).

The MIC was defined as the lowest concentration that produced a 50% reduction in the growth of fungal cells after 24 h of incubation. The microdilution in broth was performed according to CLSI protocol M27-A3. The FLC concentrations ranged from 0.125–64 µg/mL and the compound (1-3) concentrations varied from 0.25–128 µg/mL. The MICs represent the geometric means of at least three MICs determined on different days.
