XMM-NEWTON OBSERVATION OF THE BRIGHT SEYFERT 1 GALAXY MCG +8-11-11

We propose to observe for 40 ks in AO3 the bright Seyfert 1 galaxy MCGvirgul+81111,probably the brightest Seyfert 1s not yet observed by XMM Newton . The maingoal of the proposal is to study in detail the properties of the iron line(s) inthis source, properties that previous missions left largely undetermined.XMM Newton observations of Seyfert 1s indicate that the iron line propertiesare often complex and may be different from source to source: the proposedobservation will add one more case to the handful of Seyfert 1s adequatelystudied. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
