Synthetic controls for SARS-CoV-2 and its variants, i.e., Alpha, Beta, Delta, Epsilon, Iota, Kappa, Omicron BA.1 and Omicron BA.2, were purchased from Twist Bioscience. All the synthetic controls were then sequenced via MinION from Oxford Nanopore Technology using R9 chemistry.
