Trichoderma asperellum strain:CKCT-S 1 whole genome sequencing and assembly

Trichoderma species are broad-spectrum ecofriendly antifungal organisms. Their roles in controlling phytopathogens associated with economically important food and feed crops are well documented. Trichoderma asperellum strain CKCT-S 1 were isolated from symptomatic wheat seeds in Swellendam, Western Cape, South Africa. The Trichoderma spores displayed high antifungal efficacy against a suite of Fusarium species associated with head blight disease in wheat crops.
