Cross-species studies of the skeletal muscle transcriptome in five model mammals

To systematically survey the transcriptomic differences among the distinct skeletal muscle tissues (SMTs) of different animal models, we sequenced a total of 301 Poly (A) RNA-seq librariesfrom 12 representative SMTs of five mammals: Landrace pig (n =5, ~1 year), Rex rabbit (n =6, 1 year), Beagle dog (n =5, ~2 year), Kunming mouse (n =6, 3 month), SD rat (n=5, 4 month)
