DNA-Seq of Cervus hanglu yarkandensis: Tahe red deer

The Tahe red deer, domesticated and artificially raised from wild Tarim red deer, is valued for its high-quality antlers and ability to survive tough desert conditions. Recently, the sharp decline in their population also poses a serious threat to their genetic diversity. To investigate the genetic diversity and identify candidate genes associated with superior economic traits of Tahe red deer, the whole-genome sequence of 17 individuals was sequenced.
