The Digital Terrain Model (DGM) describes the natural course of the terrain surface through three-dimensional coordinates of a representative set of terrain points and is part of the Digital Elevation Model (DHM). Buildings, supply and disposal facilities, buildings, vegetation, vehicles and the like are not included in this model.
The spatial terrain points - as a data basis of the DGM - are mainly recorded by aircraft-based laser scanner flights.
The digital terrain model of the state capital Dresden is updated at irregular intervals and depending on the data situation locally limited. Depending on availability, three-dimensional point clouds of different origins, e.g. from aerial surveying and drone flights as well as terrestrial and aircraft-based laser scanning, are used.
Location system: ETRS89 UTM Zone 33
Altitude system: NHN at DHHN2016
The digital terrain model is provided with a grid width of 1 m.
