Investigation of age-related changes in gut microbiota and IgA binding capacity. feces metagenome

Fecal samples were collected from the same individual mice (n=18) at 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 months old, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing was performed to examine age-related changes in the gut microbiota. Furthermore, IgA+ or IgA- bacteria were isolated from feces collected at 3 and 24 months of age and subjected to 16S rRNA gene sequencing to investigate changes in the binding of IgA to gut bacteria with aging.
