Dataset for "Monitoring of Aedes koreicus (Diptera: Culicidae) in Germany by the citizen science project 'Mueckenatlas', 2015-2022"

Adult specimens of the invasive mosquito species Aedes koreicus (Diptera: Culicidae) were collected in Germany from 2015 to 2022. In the framework of the citizen science project ‘Mueckenatlas’, citizens caught adult mosquitoes and submitted them for scientific analyses, including mapping purposes. In the laboratory, the mosquitoes were morphologically and genetically identified to species. The dataset contains information about Ae. koreicus collection sites and dates in Germany during the time frame 2015 to 2022.
