This dataset encompasses marine water temperature and salinity in the study area during the 2016-2017 Phaeocystis globosa red tide event in the Beibu Gulf, water mass classification results derived via cluster analysis based on temperature and salinity, as well as the distributional variations of characteristic pigments and colony abundance of Phaeocystis globosa.
