Complete mitochondrial genome with phylogenetic analysis of a new Caenorhabditis species from Ta Kou Nature Reserve, Vietnam

We identified a new species of nematode, Caenorhabditis sp. 71, from Vietnam in a small survey of nematodes in Ta Kou Nature Reserve. We used low coverage whole genome sequencing of a 5x inbred strain via a combination of the Oxford Nanopore long read and Illumina NovaSeq short read sequencing platforms to assemble and annotate a complete mitochondrial genome. This sequence was then used for simple phylogenetic analyses.
