Characterizing a 100 kpc long galaxy tail in the outskirts of the A119 cluster

Ram pressure stripping of interstellar gas from galaxies in clusters hassignificant impacts on galaxy evolution as well as on the heavy elementenrichment of the intracluster gas. We propose deep XMMNewton observations tocharacterize the long (100 kpc) Xray tail associated with the early type galaxyCGCG 384028 in the outskirts of the A119 cluster. This observation will helpconstrain the history of the mixing of the stripped enriched galaxy ISM with thehot cluster gas.
