Dataset from the analyses of crinoids preserved in the Lower Jurassic strata of North Africa (Algeria)

This dataset contains raw data from the analyses published in the article entitled: “The unexpected occurrence of enigmatic ‘percevalicrinids’ (Echinodermata, Crinoidea) in the Lower Jurassic strata of North Africa – Implications for their stratigraphic and palaeogeographic distribution and discussion on their belonging to the subfamily Balanocrininae”, published in: Journal of Palaeogeography (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jop.2023.05.002). These data included photos of crinoids that were fixed on stubs using double-sided carbon adhesive tape and then metallised with a thin layer of gold. They were photographed with a scanning electronmicroscope (SEM) of the Hitachi S-4700, which is housed at the Institute of Geological Sciences, Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland).
