Lakes (WRRL) in Moors

The smallest delimited hydrological level of the EC Water Framework Directive (WFD) is the water body (WK). Lakes with a water surface area greater than 50 ha are considered as separate lake-water bodies for the WFD. The water body characterisation and assessment is integrated with results of the assessment of the overall ecological status/potential and the overall chemical status for the creation of topic maps as an attribute.In the overview with the carbon-rich sites (BHK50 and additional bog biotopes), the data set provides information on which lakes (WFRL) are located on or near organic sites. This location information is important for the assessment, development goals and development of measures for the protected assets of nature and landscape.
