TLR2 is expressed on the cell surface of activated and memory CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. Therefore, activation of TLR2 directly enhances TCR signal-induced T cell activation, function, and survival, serving as a co-stimulatory molecule. To study the mechanisms of P3C-induced CD8+ T cell activation, we compared the transcriptional signature of CD8+ T cells after anti-CD3, P3C, or combined stimulation and analyzed differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between naïve and activated CD8+ T cells.
