Data supporting the publication: “We Need More Support”: Paraprofessionals’ Perceptions of Training and Coaching for Behavior Management

This dataset contains quantitative and qualitative survey data collected from paraprofessionals enrolled in a Paraprofessionals United Federation of Teachers (UFT) education program. The purpose of the study was to examine paraprofessionals’ perceptions of their confidence, training, and access to professional learning supports related to classroom behavior management in inclusive educational settings. Data were collected using a cross-sectional, practice-based survey design and include demographic variables, Likert-scale items related to behavior management preparation and support, and open-ended responses describing perceived professional learning needs. The dataset supports descriptive and thematic analyses and informs the design of inclusive, coaching-based professional learning models for paraprofessionals.
