Air quality improvement masks global cooling from CO2 reductions under China’s carbon neutrality for half a century

This dataset contains the input and output files used in the paper “Air quality improvement masks global cooling from CO2 reductions under China’s carbon neutrality policies for half a century”. The data were generated using the Community Earth System Model version 2 (CESM2) with fully coupled configurations. The datasets include: Emission inventories for the Business-As-Usual (BAU) and China Carbon Neutrality and Clean Air (CNCA) scenarios. Simulated outputs (2050-2069) of four key climate variables — surface temperature (TREFHT), net longwave radiation at the top of the atmosphere (FLNT), net shortwave radiation at the top of the atmosphere (FSNTOA), and total precipitation (PRECT) — for multiple ensemble members.
