Cambridge University Library Liberation collection digitized book covers dataset / ImagePlot

1. Metadata (Liberation collection raw metadata 2022 03 03 and Metadata sorted by authors) of the books in the Chadwyck-Healey Liberation collection (https://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/collections/departments/french-collections/french-special-collections/french-rare-books/chadwyck) was initially extracted from Cambridge University Library catalogue (Alma library management system), whose public interface is iDiscover (https://idiscover.lib.cam.ac.uk/). It was manually edited to be used within the ImagePlot software. 2. Image files produced by the ImagePlot software (in higher resolution than the illustrations in the article). They cross 2 of the 3 parameters: Brightness, Hue, Saturation (please read the article for more details). There are 2 subsets: ImagePlot visualisations for books by the most prolific authors in the Liberation collection; and ImagePlot visualisations for books in each of the core years for the collection: 1944, 1945, 1946. 3. This dataset does not contain the jpg files of the 3000+ digitized Liberation collection book covers, because of copyright, but we provide a list of these files as of 2022 03 03.
