Starvation tolerance in Ceriodaphnia (Crustacea, Cladocera)

Pathenogenetic Ceriodaphnia was cloned and cultured in the laboratory. Survivorship curve for cohorts were estimated in presence and in absence of food. Guts was dissected from the starved individuals of cohort and bacterial strains in gut were analysed following metagenomic approach. the bacterial community sequenced represent the gut microbiome.
