Study to identify genes for which a decrease or an increase in gene expression resulted in increased secretion of a-amylase. Overall design: Perturbation of a-amylase secreting yeast cells using CRISPR/dCas9 plasmid activation or repression libraries, coupled with microfluidic screening for high secretion strains.
