DP Amenity Tree Restriction Line (OpenData)

This entity describes the closest approach to the coastline that the planting of exotic trees to provide shelter, landscaping, screening or to mitigate a natural hazard should extend. This margin exists to ensure that the natural character of the coastal environment is protected and enhanced and is described in Chapter 18, P14 of the District Plan 2015 The protected area is represented by a compound geometry consisting of a line and an area. The linear component follows a ground contour and forms the landward boundary of the compound geometry. The linear feature is extended to an area geometry to take in the Rating Units affected by the restriction. The area geometry enables the generation of property condition comments. It is spatially abstracted to a Line.
