Antibiotic resistant bacteria (ARB) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in vegetables pose health threats. Auxin is commonly used to enhance vegetable yield; however, the regulatory mechanisms of auxin on ARGs transmission to vegetable endophytes are still lacking. Here ARB colonization in soybean sprouts and ARGs spread into endophytic bacteria were tracked under exposure to auxin gibberellin (GA) and hexabenzyladenine (BA).
