Shellfisheries and associated catchments

This layer is composed of all catchments listed within a Sanitary Survey Reports as having an impact on selected shellfisheries. Catchment boundaries have been taken from a combination of WFD waterbody and operational catchment extents. Shellfisheries boundaries are derived from extents in England and Wales This layer includes two sets of catchment boundaries. The original ones selected - for display, and another buffered by 500 m - for use as a mask that doesn't obscure points on the coast.
