Draft genome sequence of Paenibacillus sp. XY044, an endophyte isolated from Camellia sinensis

Paenibacillus is gram-positive and endospore-forming bacteria, many of which isolated from rhizobial or endophytic environments are found to have plant-growth-promoting or anti-microbial ability. This project aims to isolate such endophytes from tea plants (Camellia sinensis), provide information on their agronomic benefits and thus explore their potential as biocontrol agents
