Identification of different Begomo Virus in weed species. ss-DNA Jatropha Leaf Yellow Mosaic Virus from Croton sparsiflorus
收藏资源简介:
ABSTRACTWeed serves as an important bridge between the host and the pathogen of many economically important crops. Weeds act as alternate host and collateral host of many important viruses including one of the most important genus Begomovirus. These weed cause qualitative and quantitative yield loss in many crops since they harbor these virus during the off season helping in its survival and dispersal. In view of the virus infecting major crops and weed species, Begomovirus has been one of the most threatening in the world. In our present study weed Croton sparsiflorus was collected from Mondouri Research Station, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal. The NCBI blast of the gene sequence from Croton sparsiflorus showed maximum homology with Jatropha leaf yellow mosaic Katarniaghat virus segment DNA-A, complete sequence (JN135236).
