Water3D is a comprehensive underwater multi-view 3D geometry dataset constructed by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, aiming to address the shortage of large-scale high-quality 3D annotated data in the underwater vision field. This dataset includes 42 distinct underwater scenarios, covering various aquatic environments and complex underwater conditions. Each scenario is provided with precise camera poses and depth map annotations, and its data scale significantly outperforms existing similar benchmarks. The construction process of the dataset integrates real underwater video footage, and has undergone strict screening and annotation procedures to ensure the accuracy and diversity of geometric annotations. This dataset is mainly applied to the evaluation and model training of underwater 3D geometry estimation tasks, such as multi-view depth estimation and point cloud reconstruction, aiming to promote the development of fields including underwater robot navigation, marine surveying and mapping, and underwater archaeology.
