Microbial DIversity in a laboratory maintained Stromatolite

Study of a natural stromatolite maintained under controlled laboratory conditions originating from Lagoa Vermelham, Brasil. The aim is to find causative agents of magnesium calcite and dolomite deposits in Lagoa Vermelha and identification of unique biosignatures that can be used to understand the biotic mechanisms of carbonate deposition in past systems and potentially in astrobiology.
