OMAP clone end sequence project for Oryza rufipogon. Oryza rufipogon

Oryza rufipogon is a wild rice species that is mainly found in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Australia. It has an AA genome. Breeders are interested because of demonstrated yield enhancing traits. Two libraries were produced. An 18.9X coverage BAC library was used to generate an FPC map. A shotgun library of randomly sheared DNA was used to generate sequence for repetitive DNA analysis.
