Fungal diversity in litter decomposition

Fungi play a critical role in the decomposition of plant litter, driving nutrient cycling and carbon sequestration in terrestrial ecosystems.We collected litter samples and analyzed the fungal communities using high-throughput sequencing techniques. Our results reveal significant temporal variations in fungal diversity, with distinct community structures emerging during the decomposition process.
