Diffraction Data for Project M
收藏资源简介:
December 2025 Update - missing data files 578594-mythen_summed.xye and 578601-mythen_summed.xye are included here, and the reference diffraction files for air (578399-mythen_summedAIR.xye) and a blank Kapton capillary (578400-mythen_summedBLANKKAPTON.xye) have also been added. These are the diffraction data for Project M, a large-scale citizen science project with over 1,000 scientists from UK secondary schools synthesising calcium carbonate samples. The prepared samples were analysed using X-ray powder diffraction at Diamond Light Source using beamline I11. The diffraction data consist of .xye files, where x axis is 2theta angle, y axis is corrected counts and e is error. A detailed description of what each file is and the associated lattice parameters from the refinements are available in the spreadsheet 'ProjectM_DiffractionData'. The silicon 640c standard diffraction data that was collected before the experiment is also included.
