Shellfisheries and associated catchments

This layer is composed of all catchments listed within a <a href='https://www.carcinus.co.uk/environmental-services/water-quality-and-sediment-quality/sanitary-survey-reviews-may-2020-present/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Sanitary Survey Reports</a> as having an impact on selected shellfisheries. Catchment boundaries have been taken from a combination of WFD waterbody and operational catchment extents. <div><br /></div><div>Shellfisheries boundaries are derived from extents in <a href='https://www.data.gov.uk/dataset/a276c27a-1245-488f-b724-74f86f3ae766/water-environment-water-framework-directive-shellfish-water-protected-areas-in-england' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>England </a>and <a href='https://datamap.gov.wales/layers/geonode:shellfish_waters_protected_area' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Wales</a></div><div><br /></div><div>This layer includes two sets of catchment boundaries. The original ones selected - for display, and another buffered by 500 m - for use as a mask that doesn't obscure points on the coast.</div>
