Rattus norvegicus strain:Wistar Transcriptome or Gene expression

Huntington''s Disease (HD) is chronic neurodegenerative disease caused by a defect in the Huntingtin (Htt) gene. As a part of proof of concept studies aiming to develop the gene therapy against HD, RNA-seq analysis of transcriptomes of rat striatum injected with AAV viral vectors delivering glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) was performed.Three groups of Wistar rats: the control one, injected with AAV vector constitutively expressing GDNF, and AAV constitutively expressing GFP were analyzed (for each group of animals 3 biological replicates were used for RNA-seq).This project was supported by Eurostar grant E!7900 HD-gene therapy and National Centre for Research and Development (Poland) grant no E7900/19/NCBR/2014.
