The whole genome of four K. pneumoniae isolates (LB1, LB2, LB3, and LB4) with increased antimicrobial resistance and obtained from different samples of sputum of a patient with pneumonia at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, Mass) have been resolved in this study. These four isolates were isolated in a period of time of three months and were previously characterized by Martinez-Martinez et al. in terms of biotype, plasmid content, lipopolysaccharide, and genetic resistance features.The studied isolates of K. pneumoniae vary in terms of resistance towards antibiotics in a sort period of time from the same patient and therefore it is of great interest to uncover and to assess the role of different genetic elements involve in their pathogenesis.
