Activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) is a transcription factor that plays a role in endoplasmic reticulum stress by activating unfolded protein response target genes.the Our previous studies have shown that polymorphism of ATF6 is associated with susceptibility to HCC probably by increasing ATF6 mRNA expression. The present study aimed to investigate the role of ATF6 and downstream genes in promoting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) .
