Breathing pattern (i.e., MBD or MBS) was the dependent variable, and the following variables showing p < 0.25 in the univariate analysis were included as independent variables: previous disease (i.e., asthma and allergic rhinitis), parental disease history (i.e., atopic dermatitis, asthma, and allergic rhinitis), and nasal congestion (n = 468).
