Electoral districts of Ille-et-Vilaine

Legislative constituencies are the territorial framework for electing each member of the National Assembly, elected by direct universal suffrage for a renewable 5-year term (unless the legislature is interrupted by dissolution, Article 24 of the Constitution). This division of the legislative constituencies of France was established by the two ordinances of 29 July 2009, ratified by the two Chambers on 19 and 21 January 2010, validated by the Constitutional Council on 18 February 2010, and published in the OJ on 23 February. The new electoral map has been implemented since the 2012 parliamentary elections.

On the territory of Rennes Métropole, for internal problems of matching the reference datasets (often more precise), the geometries of these constituencies were backed by the polygons of the layer of the municipal reference boundaries of Rennes Métropole.
This recalage was carried out according to a strict reading of the texts.

It should be noted that the boundaries of the constituencies on the territory of Rennes Métropole have been retouched following the consideration of the Single Cadastral Parcellar Representation (RPCU).
