The transcriptome analysis of Wild Type and Tsc1-deficient mTECs by Next Generation Sequencing

Thymic epithelial cells (TECs) are critical for the development and generation of functionally competent T cells. Until now, the mechanism that regulates the development and survival of TECs are poorly understood. In the present study, we compared the mTEC mRNA profiles of 4 weeks old wild-type (WT) and TEC-specific Tsc1 KO mice by deep sequencing using Illumina HiSeq 3000. The results showed the pathways involved in lysosomal biogenesis, cell metabolism and apoptosis elevated obviously in Tsc1-deficient mTECs compared with wild-type mTECs.
