Hydrochemical dataset and analysis notebooks: three superposed aquifers of the Ouargla basin (Algeria)
收藏资源简介:
Chemistry of 58 groundwater samples collected in February 2024 from three superposed aquifers of the Ouargla basin, North-Western Sahara Aquifer System, Algeria: the Mio-Pliocene (n = 22) and Senonian (n = 23) aquifers of the Complexe Terminal and the Albian aquifer of the Continental Intercalary (n = 13). Variables include field parameters, major ions, nitrate, fluoride (46 samples), well depth and well coordinates (rounded to the nearest kilometre). Seven Python notebooks (Google Colab) reproduce the quality control, multivariate and facies analysis, PHREEQC saturation indices at the measured water temperature, an analysis of the charge balance (the delivered concentrations satisfy a charge balance with the divalent ions weighted twice) with two balanced variants, a chloride-normalised mass balance between the aquifer end-members and the fluorite-saturation limit analysis reported in the associated article. See README.md for the file structure and the order in which to run the notebooks.
