Magnified Views of Relativistic Outflows in 1.4 < z < 2.6 mini-BAL Quasars

We propose to observe four Xray bright gravitationally lensed miniBAL quasars.The main scientific goals are to\\: (a) Investigate whether relativistic outflowsare a common property of miniBAL quasars and highz quasars in general, (b)constrain the properties of the outflows. These constraints will improve ourunderstanding of the significance of such outflows in regulating black holegrowth and in influencing structure formation, and (c) test whether the outflowproperties of the Xray absorbers correlate with Xray and UV spectralproperties of the driving force.
