SAGIS Phosphorous - Opportunity for catchment management to improve WFD status for P

Identifies surface water catchments where changes in land management practice could reduce losses of phosphorus AND achieve Good Status. We have symbolised areas where < 30% reduction in the diffuse input will achieve good status. This excludes areas where the majority of the phosphorus is coming from sewage treatment works. It also excludes catchments where >30% reduction in the diffuse input would be required because this would be very difficult to achieve without whole-scale land-use change.
