Effects of wheat and bean straw decomposition solution on pepper blight and soil microbial community

Pepper is an important crop in China's vegetable planting industry, but due to long-term cultivation, the use of unscientific irrigation and fertilization methods, resulting in soil physical and chemical properties deterioration, yield reduction, soil microbial community imbalance, soil-borne diseases aggravated a series of problems. Our previous study found that the mixture of wheat and broad bean and its straw decomposition solution can help reduce soil-borne diseases. Although the straw decomposition solution of idle crop has been confirmed to improve the soil environment, whether it has an indirect effect by changing the soil microbial community structure (such as bacteria/fungi ratio) needs further verification.
