WERAM is a database for histone acetyltransferases, histone deacetylases, histone methyltransferases, histone demethylases and acetyl- or methyl-binding proteins, which catalyze, remove and recognize histone acetylation and methylation sites as ‘writers’, ‘erasers’ and ‘readers’, and synergistically determine the ‘histone code’.WERAM是一款面向组蛋白乙酰转移酶（histone acetyltransferases）、组蛋白去乙酰化酶（histone deacetylases）、组蛋白甲基转移酶（histone methyltransferases）、组蛋白去甲基化酶（histone demethylases）以及乙酰化或甲基化结合蛋白的数据库。该类蛋白可分别催化、去除并识别组蛋白乙酰化与甲基化位点，作为“写入器”“清除器”与“阅读器”，协同决定“组蛋白密码”。
